Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Clotilde, and I’m an illustrator based in Brittany. I mainly create in the traditional way, mixing watercolors and colored pencils to create pretty textures. But I also like to create illustrations digitally on my iPad.
How would you describe your creative world?
I’d say my creative universe is soft, colorful and poetic. I draw my inspiration mainly from the simple pleasures of everyday life: a steaming cup of tea, a cosy place to take refuge, a pretty store front… Nature and the seasons are also a great source of inspiration.
What did you seek to reproduce through your work with Tiptoe?
Conviviality, because sharing quality time with the people you love is essential to me. But also the importance of creating a cocoon. I believe that our direct daily environment can have an impact on our state of mind and well-being. That’s why it’s important for me to choose the objects that surround me with care.
Can you tell us about a place where you feel good?
In nature: the woods, the sea, my garden… But I also particularly enjoy cocooning and snuggling up under a plaid by the fire. And beyond a place, as I said, the most important thing is with whom: my family and close friends.
