Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Lila Lefranc. After working in fashion and textiles, I set up my own business as an illustrator. I produce my own collection of posters, postcards and stationery.
How would you define your creative universe?
My world is sunny, colorful and inspired by the seaside, especially the Mediterranean! I work mainly with digital paint, but I also like to use traditional paint bases to add texture to my creations.

Where do you find your inspiration?
I draw a lot of inspiration from my walks, and I love jotting down ideas in my sketchbooks: bathers taking a dip, mosaics on the floor, colorful flowers. I also often take photos to create my own reference albums, from which I can pick and choose as I see fit.
For this illustration, I was inspired by my dream office, a space where I can work in front of my inspirations hanging on the wall, a place to sketch my findings in my notebook.

Any creative recommendations?
One of my favorite artists is Baya, a painter of Algerian origin: her work celebrates women, nature abounds, birds are brightly colored and her motifs are strong!
