What does TIPTOE look like through the eyes of an artist?
Constantly in search of inspiration, we gave carte blanche to artists to appropriate our pieces in their universe. This is a way to mix two creative fields and discover TIPTOE from another point of view. Meet Mirae, a tattoo artist from Bordeaux.
Hello, can you introduce yourself ?
My name is Mirae, I’m from Sablé sur Sarthe, I have a HND in graphic design (which is equivalent to a BTS) that I obtained in Angers. I have been a tattoo artist for almost 1 year in Bordeaux, at the APT 235 salon.
How do you define your creative universe?
It is not yet obvious for me to explain my creative universe. I would say: texture, fragment, grain, softness, graphic, transparency and abstraction.
Where do you find inspiration daily?
Walking, reading (books, movies, discovering new artists) but I would say mostly by observing what surrounds me, especially the light. I like to explore new mediums and techniques. Like everyone else, I sometimes find myself in need of inspiration.
What place do you give to your interior? What does it say about you?
My interior has books and objects that inspire me, a clean decor with touches of color and dried flowers. My interior can reflect an organized person, inspired by design and craftsmanship.
Why did you choose the SSD chair from TIPTOE?
It is a chair with a pure and aesthetic design. Its walnut wood brings a warm, natural feel and a lot of charm to my room.
What is your vision of TIPTOE?
TIPTOE is a responsible brand that creates sustainable objects, easy to assemble at home with a clean design and quality materials, recycled and recyclable.
What did you like about drawing our objects and integrating them into your world?
I really liked the design of the TIPTOE objects with very graphic lines, keeping natural, vivid and warm colors.
Any recent creative discovery to share with us?
I discovered Guillaume Grando (@supakitch_) recently and there are people whose work I like, like Nuria Val and Saul Leiter.
