TIPTOE & Carla Dibbi

What does TIPTOE look like through the eyes of an artist?

Constantly in search of inspiration, we gave carte blanche to artists to adapt our pieces in their universe. This way, we can mix two creative fields and discover TIPTOE in a new light.

Inside Carla Dibbi's world

“My home has always been very important, it collects stories from my past, my present and my future.”

Today, you are welcomed to the world of Carla Dibbi, Italian interior designer and illustrator, where iconic design pieces and brightly colored imaginative decor are mixed. On the menu: creative discovery, favorite TIPTOE item and good addresses in Milan.

Ciao Carla, can you introduce yourself?

Hello! I’m an interior designer based in Milan, who accidentally felt in love with illustrations and social media.

How do you describe your creative world?

An illusory planet in which furniture lives freely and colorfully.

Where do you get your daily inspiration?

Curiosity is key! I search for new things every day, from new places in town to magazines, to new projects across the internet.

How important is your home to you? What does it say about you?

My home has always been very important, it collects stories from my past, my present and my future. I love colors, I could never live in a grey or beige apartment. Luckily my boyfriend and our architect are in line with this idea, so the walls, the floor and the furniture match with my personality!

Why did you choose TIPTOE table legs?

The TIPTOE legs allow me to customize one of the most important pieces in the house, the dining table! Also, they will eventually adapt to future changes, which means that I’ll probably have a long-lasting relationship with them.

What is your vision of TIPTOE?

Smart design and attention to sustainability.

What inspired you to include our items in your world?

The first illustration takes inspiration from Roland Garros, I love playing and watching tennis! The second one is a tribute to all the old Milanese people who gather together every day to play with cards and boules in the park, they’re so cool.

A recent creative discovery to share with us?

Severin Millet’s paper sculptures: I love how they tell a story with just a few cuts and folds.

A cool address to share with all Milan visitors?

If you enjoy drinks and anime, I would definitely recommend Unseen Bar, a vaporwave cocktail bar. Wanna taste my favourite cocktail? Ask for a liquid salad!
