Bar stool in recycled plastic MACCHIATO

Designed by TIPTOE, the 76cm bar stool is a creative piece of furniture that you can either use as a seat with the 110cm TIPTOE legs, a classic bar table or a standing desk. Its seat is made of recycled plastic, speckled with black and white.

In line with TIPTOE’s core values, it combines creative design, easy set-up and long-lasting materials. The TIPTOE bar stool is 100% made in Europe.

A unique recycled plastic seat

The MACCHIATO recycled plastic bar stool is an even more sustainable version of the popular wooden bar stools. Its recycled plastic seat is speckled with white and black flakes that indicate the former life of the plastic. This new version of the bar stool reflects TIPTOE’s desire to create sustainable furniture by going further and looking for beautiful and innovative materials.

The recycled plastic that constitutes the seats of the sools comes from cutting trays used in garden centres. This unique material is the result of an innovative manufacturing process: the plastic waste is reduced to shavings and then pressed (without adding any binder) to form the stool seat. The seats have their own colour and shade variations, which can vary from one seat to another.

Each MACCHIATO stool is unique and does not look like any other.

Dimensions and uses

The TIPTOE bar stool can be used with the 110cm TIPTOE legs and all table between 100cm and 115cm height.

For the 90cm TIPTOE table legs, a kitchen counter or a central island, or any table between 85cm and 95cm height, choose the 66cm counter stool.

For a classic seat, a beside table, a sofa end or a side table, fall for the LOU stool.

Care instructions

Recycled plastic is a noble and innovative material that needs to be cared for. Cleaning with a soft damp cloth is sufficient. We do not recommend the use of chemicals such as solvents, paint removers or strong detergents. Our steel legs are built to last and do not require any special maintenance. If necessary, you can clean them with a microfibre cloth and clean water.
