After a successful first collaboration, Tiptoe and the Archives Yves Klein are joining forces once again to develop a collection of objects highlighting the famous Klein Blue®, an iconic colour renowned for its unequalled intensity.
Yves Klein, a major artist of the 20th century, bestowed upon history an original colour that has become the stuff of legend: an ultramarine blue of incomparable intensity, which according to him is “the most perfect expression of blue”.
This colour invention, which he named “IKB” (International Klein Blue), characterises many of his works, most notably his monochromes.
To achieve the development of this famous blue, Tiptoe designers worked for many months to formulate a colour that would do justice to the intensity of Klein Blue.
We made two formulas: one for wood and one for steel, making sure that they were identical so that the materials would blend perfectly.
The Tiptoe x Klein Blue collection was created in collaboration with the Yves Klein Archives, whose mission is to protect and promote the artist’s work. The Archives guided us in the creation of the colour to ensure that our blue was consistent with Yves Klein’s IKB.
The pieces have been stamped and screen-printed in blue by our French partners.

This product is 100% made in Europe.
The wall-mounted shelves are made from steel, a strong, durable and infinitely recyclable material. They are manufactured with our partner in Lithuania and stamped in France.
Care instructions
The powder-coated steel wall shelf is built to last and requires no special maintenance. If necessary, you can clean them with a microfibre cloth and clean water.
